We hope that you will visit this website often and visit the school when you find yourself in the area. Our school serves approximately 300 students from several communities in the eastern part of Restigouche County.

         

The objective of this site is to provide an online community for our students, faculty, friends of the school and our alumnae. We are proud of our school, its history and its prominent role in the life of the east Restigouche region.

Dalhousie Regional High School is a nurturing place, where high expectations and standards promote a sense of pride. We strive to educate all students to become caring, happy and productive citizens who realize academic and personal growth.

Students, teachers, parents and friends are all encouraged to make positive feedback on the students' posts about the independent novel that they are reading. DRHS Market Days:
The DRHS Entrepreneurial 120 class are having Market Days on December 14th and 15th, 2011. Wednesday the 14th and Thursday the 15th, food will be sold from 12:30 til 1:30 (noonhour). DMS students are invited period 5. Foods for sale include hotdogs, hamburgers, pizza & baked treats with several beverages available. The Market Days will take place in Room 202 at the East end of second floor near the water fountain adjacent to Mr. Winchester and Mr. Murchie's classrooms. DRHS students; bring a ton of money and enjoy the food, the price of these food items will be quite reasonable. Speak to Mr. Murchie for more information.

Mike Soucy’s students from Leadership Class canvassed door to door for the Heart and Stroke Foundation in the Dalhousie area this year. This was the first year and we hope to continue in the years to come. All students received a Certificate of Appreciation and a thank you letter from the foundation. Congratulations you did a fantastic job.

DRHS Student Council and teacher, Lisa Pelletier have been working on sponsoring a child 8 years old from an orphanage in Uganda.  The organization is called, “CHAT To The Future”. Students can communicate via email and Skype.  Here is a wonderful picture of her with letters and pictures the student council sent to her. In this picture she is holding the DRHS noise makers.

The DRHS /RCMP Youth Committee, International students along with their host family recently did a fundraiser bagging groceries at the Atlantic Superstore in Atholville, NB. The money raised will be donated to the construction of a Vocational School in Haiti in honor of Sgt. Mark Gallagher.

DRHS hosted 6 students and teacher from Beijing Concord College of Sino Canada for a One Week Winter Camp from January 29th to February 5th, 2011. Here they are taking a break from a snowshoeing acitivity on Acadia Beach overlooking the Bon Ami Rocks in Dalhousie.

Academic Achievement Dinner:
Dalhousie Regional High School hosted an Academic Achievement Dinner for students with an 85% average or higher for 2009/10 school year. The students received medals and each student from grades 9, 10 and 11 with the highest average got a plaque for the highest standing.

Helping The SPCA:
DRHS Leadership students help our local SPCA raise money for a new shelter. Local high schools participating in the challange were SSHS and AQV. The school with the most money raised will be reconized as the "champion" and will have their school name on a floor tile at the new shelter.

Trick or Eat:
Grade 9 students, international students, and the Boomerang program leaders collected food items door to door for the local food bank in Dalhousie on October 29th, 2010.
