Tamika Gideon, the recipient of the Young Citizen’s Award in the ASD-N Heritage Fair, is an 11 year old grade 6 student from DRHS. She recently attended a two day workshop at UNB where she was taught how to create and edit a video about her Heritage Fair topic. She chose certain parts of her project to summarize and make into a 3-4 minute video.
Tamika’s video is now entered into a contest competing with other Young Citizen participants across Canada. A panel of judges will review the videos and the results of the vote and select four winners. These four students will receive a trip for two to Ottawa in the fall to attend the Canada's History Forum.
