Hi everyone, hope everyone is still well and remaining as positive and healthy as possible. I just wanted to add a little note explaining what I posted this week for you to check out if you were interested. I posted the second Bingo card, where you will find all kinds of cool activities that you can try out. I also focused on adding math links this week. So please go see the web links tab on my page in order to see the different resources you can explore. I tried to put a variety of resources that could interest my grade 6, 7 and 8 math classes. I also put a link to Brilliant Labs if your looking for a challenge and a way to display your creativity, please go visit their site. I will keep searching for challenging activities and resources, that I could post in the following weeks. Thanks again for your patience through all of this. I hope you have a wonderful week. Take care and have fun!

Hey everyone, hope you are all doing ok; staying safe and staying positive.  We miss you all very much!  Same as last week, while you are home, we ask that you select activities from the bingo card to complete each day. You can try to achieve a bingo by completing all the activities in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line or select random activities from the card that you are able to / interested in completing. You may do as many activities as you wish, but we ask that you do a minimum of 5.  In addition, we ask that you to read for at least 30 minutes (either in a book, a magazine, a newspaper or an article or book online), and try to complete at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day. We hope you have fun.  Next Monday, we will put up a new bingo card for you.  Take care.

Math Stars (grade 8)

Here you will find a link to the Math Stars booklet. These are challenging math questions and logic puzzles. You will always find a Strategy of the Month block and a Setting Personal Goals block. Sometimes you will be able find a MathStars Home Hints block. The booklet is displayed in a way where, you will be able to check your answers and reasoning. For example, you will find Vol. 8 No. 1 (Vol. would be the grade level that is targeted and No. would be the first worksheet), once you have completed these questions and puzzles the following page would be the answer sheet. There are 10 lessons in the whole booklet. Have fun : )

Sudoku

This is a link to a variety of sudoku puzzles. Some of our students really enjoyed these. You can choose the difficulty level, in order to challenge your own ability. You can also take notes on the puzzle grid (when there would be more than one option for a number). You can also take hints and even check for mistakes. If you have never played before, no worries, below the puzzle, you will find instructions and tips of how to play sudoku. Enjoy : )
