Hi everyone, hope everyone is still well and remaining as positive and healthy as possible. I just wanted to add a little note explaining what I posted this week for you to check out if you were interested. I posted the Bingo Card 9 (weekly assignment), where you will find all kinds of cool activities that you can try out. You can still join our class in Duolingo (look in the tab named documents in order to find the steps to follow to join the class).

I also added assignments in our Microsoft Team group for my French Immersion class of 6-7. Here you will be able to find suggested episode of ONIVA to watch followed by a few questions, a journal entry as well as a discussion board. If you have not joined yet, I posted all the steps to follow to join this team in the note tab, here on my teacher page.

I have also assigned new lessons in Khan Academy. If you haven’t joined you can still join, the steps to follow are posted here on my teacher page as well. There are still a variety of websites that you could check out as well, go see the web links tab.

Remember all these activities are optional, they are meant to give you a variety of options. I will keep searching for challenging activities and resources, that I could post in the following weeks. Thanks again for your patience through all of this. I hope you have a wonderful week. Take care and have fun!

Please do not hesitate to give me feedback, or send me questions by email, I will do my best to get back to you as soon as I can. michelle.arsenault@nbed.nb.ca

Hi everyone, I hope you had a great restful weekend with your family and of course, lots of fun completing activities from last week’s Bingo Card. This week there are new activities, but the process is the same.  Select at least 5 activities to do this week. You can select them from one row to try and get a bingo, or select 5 that peak your interest from anywhere on the card.  Hope you have fun.  Please stay safe and stay positive : )

Duolingo is a language-learning website and mobile app. I have created a class (classe de 6-7) that you will be able to join (see attachment down below, in order to follow the steps and use the appropriate code). Once you have joined the class, you can take a placement test, which should guide you to appropriate lessons. I have also added an assignment and I will be able to see how you are doing and what you are working on. You can also explore the site and follow your own lessons while challenging yourself. Have fun!

I just wanted to add a little note explaining what I posted this week for you to check out if you were interested. I posted the Bingo Card 6 (weekly assignment), where you will find all kinds of cool activities that you can try out. I also added a link to a website, United Bilingual Correspondents program offered here in Canada. The coordinator and her team would match you up with another student in our country. It’s like a pen pal via email, video chat and so forth. If you are interested go see the link, to get more information, since you have till May 17th to register.

I also added assignments in our Microsoft Team group for my French Immersion class of 6-7. Here you will be able to find part of an episode of ONIVA followed by a few questions, a journal entry as well as a discussion board. If you have not joined yet, I posted all the steps to follow to join this team in the note tab, here on my teacher page.

Les correspondants bilingues unis

HOW DOES THIS PROGRAM WORK?

Once you apply, you will be matched with another student. In applying, you agree to remain in contact with them until the end of the school year through any method of communication (social media, email, Skype, etc), which you will determine together.

You will receive an email each month from French for the future with a list of themes to discuss. Through this process, you will be able to learn more about your correspondent, the Francophonie and culture in other Canadian provinces and territories.

WHO CAN BECOME A UNITED BILINGUAL CORRESPONDENT?

The United Bilingual Correspondent program is available for young French speakers from Grade 7 to 12 or from Secondaire 1 to Cegep 1.

The communication will be solely in French, but can be written and/or oral. You don’t have to be an expert in French to become a Bilingual Correspondent! This program is here to help you improve.

**Deadline for registration is May 17th
