All who meet the following criteria may apply for a bursary by properly completing the required form (see attachment) and present it to the municipality.

All candidates must:

a) Be a resident of the municipality or have an immediate parent who is a permanent resident;

b) Have obtained a high school diploma or be on the list of graduates for the current year;

c) Plan on continuing education in a post-secondary establishment in the year that the request is made. The candidate must not have had any previous post-secondary education.

The deadline to apply for a scholarship is the second Friday of the month of May at 4 p.m.

If a scholarship/bursary application indicates the application is to be submitted to Mrs. C. Harquail-EST-Guidance Counselor or the school, students are to mail their applications to:

Dalhousie Regional High School, 500 Canada Games Drive, Dalhousie, NB, E8C 2P5

Make sure your application is mailed prior to the deadline so that it reaches the school on time.

The student must be a resident of the Town Of Dalhousie.

The DRHS Scholarship committee will select or draw the name of the recepient.

There is no application required this year. All names will be automatically submitted.

Although the student loan information sessions in New Brunswick high schools have been cancelled, Student Aid posted the presentation slides on the website: www.studentaid.gnb.ca.

The link is titled: Presentation – Single dependent students and can found on the home page directly under “Information guide”.

If you have any questions regarding the information on the slides and/or need assistance with your application contact a student loan representative at the toll free teleservices number at 1-800-667-5626.

One scholarship is available for each New Brunswick high school in the year for which it was granted.

ELIGIBILITY: New Brunswick high school graduate students accepted (or on a waiting list) in the current year at any campus of the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) or the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design are eligible.

After entering their information, they need to do a “Save As”  unto their computer (suggestion: ask them to add their name and date to the filename, for example 2020-04-23-NBPCES-BEPACPNB-ARSENEAULT,BERTHE.pdf) and forward it to colleen.harquail@nbed.nb.ca for selection purposes.

Scholarship Value: $1000.00

Submit application and supporting documents to colleen.harquail@nbed.nb.ca by May 27th.

CRITERIA:
Each candidate must:

• be a high school graduate in the year of application;

• be domiciled in New Brunswick; • be an exceptional student; • be interested in preparing for a career in business; • complete the Official Application Form; • submit a letter indicating personal career aspirations. Attached should be lists of activities including summer and part-time work, as well as other extra-curricular activities in which the applicant has been involved; • ensure the school principal completes and submits the Principal’s Confidential Report Form and a copy of high school records to date. • begin studies in the Fall of the year of application in a New Brunswick, Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island University.

Deadline: June 15, 2020

Priority given to applicants who are related to a past or present member of the St. John Bosco Catholic Woman's League.

All graduates continuing their education may apply.

Bursary Value: $300
