The Village of Charlo offers two $300 scholarships to grade 12 students from Charlo who will be attending a post-secondary school in the fall.

Interested students must complete the registration form (see attachment) and submit application at the municpal office.

Deadline: received prior to the 2nd Friday of the month of May

The draw will take place at council's special meeting in June.

Successful candidates must be pursuing a recognized post-secondary undergraduate program of study relevant to the Tourism Industry.

Four awards will be offered

Value: 4 x $1,000.00

Applicant's guardian must be a member of the NB Aboriginals Peoples Council Local 18.

Value: $100

Projected Scholarships and Bursaries for 2018-2019 are available in the Guidance Center. All current local and regional scholarship and bursary applications are available in hard copy, as well as on the DRHS website under Guidance.

Students are to see the guidance counselor as soon as possible to discuss what they are eligible for.

Post-secondary education is very expensive. A scholarship/bursary can certainly help to offset the cost of post-secondary education.

Do not procrastinate as deadlines are fast approaching.

Bursaries awarded based on financial need and personal circumstances

Eligible students must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program of study at the University of New Brunswick.

Valued at $20,000 ($5,000 renewable per year for up to 4 years)

Must be entering a post-secondary health care degree level program at an Atlantic Canadian institution. This scholarship focuses on the impact of community service and as such the applicant should be an active participant in their community. A minimum avaerage of 80 percent is required.

Deadline: April 24th, 2019

Award Value: $5,000.00

Application form must be signed by the applicant and the Regional VP or Zone Shop Steward.
