Good morning English 9, 112 and 122 students,

I hope you are all well and staying safe.  Please remember to take care of yourself. Get outside, get some fresh air, go for a walk.

Grade 9s and 12-2s you have your assignments until the end of the school year. English 122 your assignments are all due on June 12th, and as I stated before, I would suggest handing them in earlier so I can look them over before the due date.

English 112 - Your assignment this week is to read an article online about a social issue (racism, pandemic, education, or world hunger, for example). Then write a one page response that includes your opinion on the article, your thoughts on the topic and how things should change moving forward. You can email me your response if you would like some feedback.  In addition, there are many other lessons that I have posted online that I think most of you haven't completed. I understand most of you are working on other classes that you are getting Credit for, and that is fine.

Stay well. We miss you.

Good morning English 122 students,  Your final multi-genre assignment is due on June 12th; however I still haven't received the novel study assignment from most of you. I will accept all work up until June 12th however I wouldn't leave it that long, because if it is not acceptable then you won't have a chance to re-do it at that point. You should really try to get the work to me June 8th so I can look it over. Please make sure it is your own work (no plagiarizing, needs to be your own ideas and your own words).

Enjoy the great weather. Miss you guys!

Good morning, I am attaching some poetry readings to work on this week. In addition you can write a poem about one of the following topics: The Feeling of Sunsine, Living in a Panadamic, I realized the importance of ________________, or you can choose your own topic. I would love to see the poems when you are done with them.

It is your period 5 teacher's turn to call you so you should expect to hear from me some time this week. Hope you are all well. Try to get outside and enjoy the great weather this week. Bring a book with you and read outside for 30 minutes daily.

Miss you!

Good morning English 9 students, Just a reminder that you should now be working on the novel study that we posted last week.  If you haven't started it yet then you can go back to last week's post to find all the documents that you will need.

So happy that we are getting some nice weather, and we can now see some friends and family. It's going to be a sunny and warm week. Try to get outside and do some physical activity, and bring a book outside and read for 30 minutes daily.

Hello English 112 students, I haven't heard from many of you letting me know if you are working on any of the assignments. For this week I am going to suggest you finish the work I have already assigned. I have assigned the Twelve Angry Men play to read, a novel study and the BINGO card. You can find all of these assignments on previous posts on this page.

If you happen to have all of this done, then you can email me at kathy.parker@nbed.nb.ca, and I will assign something else.

If you have finished any of the assignments and would like to get some feedback on them, you can email me your work and I will give you some feedback on what you have completed.

Stay well. Reach out if you need anything xo

Hi English 122 students,

I hope you are all well. This week you should be starting your mulit-genre project. The information for that is on the first post that I made. If you need it again, please let me know.  I feel like it might be a good idea for us to have an online meeting one day to talk about the expectations for that. We can set that up in the Facebook chat that I made tonight. If you have any questions, please let me know. Chat soon. Take care and stay well.

Please remember to read and participate in physical activity 30 minutes each day.
