Good morning English 112 and 122 students,

I hope you are all well. This week, we will continue with the assignment that I posted last week. The instructions for that is in the attached document titled "April 6 Eng 112 and 122". In short, you are reading a novel, taking notes on the elements of a novel (theme, character, plot, point of view) and then choosing one element to write an analysis. Your other option this week is to complete a second line of the Bingo card I posted last week. You can find that under the grade 9 work, or on my teacher facebook group.

If you would like some feedback on what you are working on then you can send me an email at kathy.parker@nbed.nb.ca or message me on Facebook. I am curious to know what books you are reading. Drop me a line to let me know. Try to read 30 minutes a day, and participate in 30 minutes of physical activity daily as well.

Once again, please know that your well being is our top priority. Take care of yourself physically and emotionally, and if you need help, reach out.

Mrs. Parker

Good morning grade 9s - Last week we posted a Bingo card with 25 activities on it that cover skills such as reading, writing, speaking and listening. We asked you to try to complete one line (one activity a day). We will continue with the BINGO card this week. Choose a different line to complete. Next week we will change it up a bit.

You should also be reading 30 minutes a day, and participating in 30 minutes of physical activity.

We want to emphasize that your wellness is our main concern. Please take care of yourselves physically and emotionally. If you need help, reach out.

If you want feedback on any of the work you have done so far (or just want to show us what you have done) you can email me at kathy.parker@nbed.nb.ca or Mrs. Talbot-Lavigne at jennifer.talbot@nbed.nb.ca.

Take care,

Mrs. Parker

Good morning English 112 and 122 students,

The attached document includes more advance work than the BINGO card that I am also posting. You can find the BINGO card on the Facebook page, and also under the document for the English 9 work on this teacher page). If you want to work on the BINGO card, you can do that, or you can work on the Novel Study/Analysis document. The document explains more in depth about what we were working on before school was cancelled, so please read it.

I hope you have a great week. You can reach me at kathy.parker@nbed.nb.ca, or through my teacher facebook group - Mrs. Parker's Classes.  Take care of yourselves!

Mrs. Parker

Hello English 9 students!

Please find below a Bingo Card that includes activities for English Language Arts. The activities include skills for reading, writing, speaking and listening. The goal is that each week you try to complete one line (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). In addition, the District is recommending that you should be reading a minimum of 30 minutes a day, and doing 30 minutes of physical activity a day.

Another option for students is to keep a daily journal. You can use words, pictures, quotes, create a video, etc., that journals your day. Some ideas to journal about include:  How are you feeling? How are you spending your days? What do you miss? Who do you miss? How are you coping with isolation? Have you done any good deeds?

If you have any questions you can email me at kathy.parker@nbed.nb.ca or Mrs. Talbot at jennifer.talbot@nbed.nb.ca, or you can message me through the Mrs. Parker's Classes facebook group. Have a good week :)
